Garage Conversions

We have been doing garage conversions since 2005 and here are some examples of recent projects

Garage Conversion for Bedroom and Office in Great Paxton

This garage conversion was done to create space for an extra bedroom and an office from a single garage.  At the front of the house the garage door was removed, and a window put in and the front of the house bricked up.  At the back of the house a window was installed along with a door leading out to the garden from the new bedroom.

All walls and floors were insulated and an insulated ceiling was also installed.

Radiators were installed, walls and ceiling skimmed, electrics installed by our qualified electrician.

We assisted with the application for planning permission and liaised with building control throughout the project.

The project was completed on time and to budget and the customer has promised to add some photos when it is decorated.

  1. Excellent conversion
We split a section off the garage to make a small utility room for the combi boiler, washer and drier – Just enough space left for a car

  2. Hi
Thanks for comments 🙂 Yes, utility rooms are very popular especially where wanting to make the best use of space in an existing kitchen area. We have also done conversions for gyms, offices, bedrooms, cinema rooms, and even a dedicated area for a collection of model trains!

Converting a garage can be really easy and cheap to do and we are expecting to do quite a lot of these this year.

  3. If problems arise, especially with the opener, consider hiring a professional garage door service to
make sure that the door is still operational
and safe. It is the back of the window that you want measured, as prefabricated garage door windows have a lip
on the back of them which is larger than the front.
Follow consistently to preserve your remote’s life and function.

  4. I was suggested this blog by my cousin. I am not sure whether this post is written by him as nobody else know
such detailed about my difficulty. You’re wonderful!
