We are experimenting with Twitter as a tool for trades as we believe this is an ideal method for listening to what is going on in our industry of plumbing and plastering, and engaging with people with advice where we can regards DIY or home improvements, and through gaining natural recommendations.

It’s all a bit new-fangled for us and we are trying our best. If you have any tips you would like to share with us they would be greatly appreciated.  If you see us doing anything on twitter that you like or dislike or if you think we are missing a trick anywhere along the line, we would love to hear about it. Either tweet us @floatltd or leave a comment here, or email us at

The directors at Float are Maxine* and Tim Welford. Float has been operating since 2004 and only operates locally.  We are not a franchise or a large national firm but rather a small business committed to our local reputation.

We hope you enjoy participating in our experiment and we plan to tweet photo’s of our work, short video clips, testimonials from happy customers, experiences of plastering and plumbing that may help others.

Look forward to tweeting with you

Kind regards

Tim & Max

* Maxine looks after the customer support and sales and marketing side of the business through her own business, Maxxy ( to make the most of resources, so you may be following her or be being followed by her as @maxinemaxxy.
